     Patricia sent me an email from a resident that said “the police” told them they could operate golf carts on sidewalks once they aren’t legal on the roads (ie speed limit increased above 35 mph” on CG). 

This is NOT accurate. I confirmed with Captain Thornton that it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle (a golf cart falls under this category) on a sidewalk under Texas law. He did say they would be allowed to cross (East/West) on CG but will not be able to travel on CG (north/south) once the new speed limit is implemented. 

Captain Thornton said that he could update the attached golf cart bulletin once the speed limit is changed.
